Knit and crochet addicted

Hi friends! I am so late to all of this. I crochet and knit all the time and abhor the computer so much! But it’s so easy with my phone. So here it is, my first post about something I truly love: yarn. Family and my cats too of course, food and exercising as well, but this blog is about my journey with yarn.

When I was a little girl, nobody would teach me how to knit or crochet! I remember everyone was too busy. Fast forward 30 years and I discovered YouTube! Life changing right!?!? I spent hours watching various crochet and knit videos and starting an Instagram page dedicated to showing off my awesome new garter stitch scarves!!! Crochet market bags!! Funny beanies for my kids and cat! (see some pics here. Ok honestly I still do all that but I’ve grown a lot). Then lo and behold an entire community addicted to yarn! It is crazy. There are thousands of uber talented makers out there who spend countless hours handmaking these extraordinary makes. It’s mind blowing. And I of course wanted in!

But how? How do I get in there? So I researched and saw I could apply to be a tester for pattern designers. And of course I say yes. Blindly in the beginning TBH, not knowing what to expect. And now I’m addicted because I’ve learned so much, I’ve put myself out there in the public and I made the best friends! Truly.

And so I continue. I continue to create everyday. Build my knowledge, challenge myself, push on and grow. Truly, sometimes my hands hurt from all the making, and my eyes hurt from all the sleepless nights, but damn. I love it so much.
