Handmade with love (and time, sweat, lack of sleep, loads of coffee and lots of labor)

Hi again! Do you knit and/or crochet your own clothes, home decor, accessories, amigurami, etc? Do you create for fun, to feed our addiction and to sell? Oh yeah me too. A hobby that’s become an obsession. A passion for beautiful things that others also like and want so it’s nonstop. But that‘s ok bc I can’t keep always just hugging my yarn stash all the time. Gotta use it right?!? Haha.

Ok so I love making garments. It’s pretty laborious though. Thousands and thousands of teeny individual stitches. And reading a pattern too is a skill. It’s certainly not for the weak of heart. It tugs at our perfectionist chords though. You want to make something that is beautiful and impeccable. A reflection of your own tastes. But of course we are human and we make mistakes so we go back and redo or “frog” the work if need be. Because the work has to be perfecto! And I only show what I love myself. Otherwise it 100% does not go public. Every item I post and put up on my sites are all really pieces I am proud of. Truly a labor of love.

The last item on my hook was the #isidoracroptop by my talented galpal Fanny of #daphneetpluton. The top is crocheted in two pieces, sewn at the shoulders, edged at the Vneckline and bottom hems, and sleeves are crocheted and seamed. I chose to crochet this piece in this beautiful silky smooth yarn called Truboo by Lionbrand Yarn and OMG the smoothness/sheen is unreal. The crop top is drop dead gorgeous. I took it for a walk around town over my black jumpsuit and I got compliments galore. I couldn’t take it off it’s so dang cute! I made another in a lilac color while wearing my original piece and made it just a hair shorter. Blown away by how beautiful this piece is. Hopefully you can tell how much I adore this! This top took a little over 5 hours to hand make. Can you see the TLC in it? I hope you can and I hope you are making something you love too. And are showing it off!
